By accessing or using areyoualarper.com, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher. If you are under that age, do not use the site.
Accounts
You can play without an account. You need one to create quizzes, keep attempts, and use some features. Provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and tell us if you think someone else has access to your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms, that we are required to remove, or that we reasonably believe put the site or its users at risk.
Your content
You keep ownership of the quizzes, questions, images, and other content you create. By posting it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute it to operate and provide the site, including showing it in feeds, search results, and share pages. This license ends when you delete the content, except for copies in backups or content others have shared.
You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, including images and video links. Do not upload copyrighted material unless you have permission or a valid license.
Your quiz title, description, questions, and public profile may be visible to anyone. Do not put private information in them. We may reformat, edit, or remove content that breaks these terms or is unsuitable for the site.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to:
- break the law or encourage others to break it;
- harass, threaten, stalk, or hatefully target anyone;
- post sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate images, or graphic violence;
- dox or share someone else’s private information;
- impersonate anyone or claim an affiliation you do not have;
- upload malware, spam, phishing, or scams;
- scrape, overload, or bypass rate limits, security, or access controls;
- manipulate scores, attempts, rooms, or exploit bugs;
- infringe intellectual property or other rights;
- promote illegal goods, gambling, or fraud.
Moderation
We may review, approve, reject, edit, or remove quizzes, AMAs, images, and accounts. We do not pre-screen everything. If you see something that breaks these terms, report it to support@areyoualarper.com. We may cooperate with law enforcement when required.
Intellectual property
The site’s name, logo, design, and code are owned by us or our licensors. Third-party names, characters, trademarks, and media belong to their owners. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Quizzes are fan-made and for entertainment.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, email support@areyoualarper.com with the subject “Copyright”. Include:
- your name and contact details;
- the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
- the URL or URLs of the allegedly infringing content;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner;
- your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove content and terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright.
Third-party content
The site may embed or link to third-party content and services, including YouTube videos, image hosts, and analytics. We do not control those services. Their terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
Disclaimer
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. Quizzes are for entertainment. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a quiz is accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of USD 100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the site, or your breach of these terms.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the site at any time. To delete your account, email support@areyoualarper.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms, if we are required to, or to protect the site and its users.
Sections that by their nature should survive will survive, including content licenses, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top. If the changes are material, we will post a notice on the site. Continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the site operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If mandatory consumer law in your country gives you stronger rights, those rights apply. Nothing here prevents you from bringing a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under mandatory local law.
